22 weeks……And a Total Confirmation of a Girl, a Girl Named Lola….

Standard

You are a size of a Papaya….Momma says you love to Rock -N-Roll to Jimmie Henrix…..lol  Great music!  You are moving around alot, I really haven’t felt you yet, you are pretty passive when I am around!

We all had a wonderful day& evening  shopping  for supplies to finish your mom and dad’s pregnancy announcements!  Then home to some good french bread hamburgers, cauliflower and crisp salad with good salad fixin’s  ummmm …they were yummy!- waiting for today to have another ultrasound and this time it would be for certain the sex….Ian, the ultrasound technician, was correct….a GIRL, a Girl named Lola!  What a huge laugh we all had when you were being pictured during the ultrasound and you had a BIG yawn…. so sweet, so very sweet!  Hello, our baby girl, we are so excited to meet YOU!!

You are measuring to be around 23 1/2 weeks….but Ian said to stay with the original due date of August 24, 2012!  Meet with the doctor to go over the ultrasound findings and all seems to be doing very well!  Yeah!  Huge relieve for everyone.  Last visit mom was told that an enzyme was high on one test that could link her to have the possibility of having preclampseia which is NOT good!

Some of the other things that Ian share about you to day was that your heart rate is 143 which is normal, your foot length measures 4 cm, we saw you little foot print and all your toes and you weigh 1 1/4 lb.  You are doing very well!

Working  hard on finishing your Valance.  Started working on your dust skirt.

I purchased a new sewing machine from Sears!  I am so excited to learn about all the stitches and features of the machine.  It is sewing so much better than the one I got at Costco!  I have pinned so many sewing projects for you!  I am finishing up the burp cloths and wash cloths, next is to embellish onesies and I am going to start on sleep sacks!  I picked up a couple from Carter’s but I think it would be cute to sew up a few and then coordinate them with the embellished onesies!

My mother, your great grandmother, Iola Winifred Maraist, started this cross stitching.  During my last visit with her in April of 2010, she gave me this and told me to finish it for either of the girls to have a child first.  It is with honor that I finish this cross stitch and frame it and give it to you, Lola Mae Andreas,  in honor of your great-grandmother Maraist, a.k.a.  MaMa

Already 16 weeks…..where has the time flown

Standard

Goodness!  There is so much to catch up on!  People are moving, relocating, updating!!  And YOU, you are growing!  16 weeks!  A size a an Avocado!  Your mommy and daddy are growing an Avocado tree just for you!

Mommy and daddy have moved to Canyon Lake across the street from Uncle Andrew, Aunt Krista and Tatum.  Really sweet older home that they have full permission from Vic and Caroline to make their own while they are there.  Mommy and Grammie CeCe have been hustling and a bustling to get the house unpacked and in some sort of order.  In the mean time we have had loads of fun picking out wall paint and painting squares and debating on which one is the best.  Mommy picked out some adorable fabric for the window treatments.  Grammie is excited to start working on it.  I have made mommy a Idea Board with your nursery ideas and color choices and fabrics etc….. It will be loads of fun to get started.

all went well at your 16 week check up.  You are moving around  (as mommy has described it) as popping popcorn!  The nurse said you are developing well and strong!  You go girl….speaking of GIRL, my last post mentioned that at the utltra sound appointment the tech said you were a little girl, will at this appointment the tech said that they only started doing the “guess” this early for the last 6 months….ummmm….I say, do we still continue planning on this “little girls” room or wait to make totally sure at 20 weeks?  Mommy researched and said they were going by this indicator marks that have come back fairly correct…..ha, it would be historical if you our a little Beau!  Now, that would be a hoot!!!!

I am leaving tomorrow to go visit mommy and daddy.  It’s daddy’s birthday tomorrow!  Happy Birthday!!!!  He will be playing golf with Andrew and mommy and I will be doing some planning, sewing and cooking!

12th Week

Standard

 196 days and counting!

Lilibit, you are a size of a Plum!   You will shift into the growth and maturation stage.  The past 11 weeks you were in the critical development stage, most of all of your systems are fully formed!  Things are changing fast!  Now that all of your systems are fully formed, your organs and tissues will grow and develop rapidly.   Wow, you are now probably opening and closing your little fingers and probably curling your toes too!

Mommy and Daddy visited Grandma Cora and Grandma Becky this past weekend and told them the joyous news!  I talked to Grandma Becky and she is so thrilled!  We will be getting together in the coming months to plan your baby shower!  Can’t wait.  Mommy and Daddy won’t let us post anything on Facebook!  But, here is a posting that Grandma Becky posted the day she found out!  She found a way to get around what Mommy and Daddy didn’t want us to do!

and then another……………….

……………Ha ha….got to love it!!  Can you tell she is just ecstatic at the news of YOU! Too, cute!

(Grammie CeCe is still learning how to Blog….so someday I will figure out how to make these facebook inserts clearer and bigger)

Mommy is going to the doctor this afternoon; will the technician be able to tell if you are a little Lola or our little Beau?  Oh, I just can’t wait!!!!!

11 weeks and counting….

Lilibit, you are a size of a lime this week!

You are about 1.6 inches long and .25oz….you are growing and growing.  You currently enjoy a 1:1 ratio between your body and head.  Your delicate skin is so transparent that your blood vessels show right though.  Your fingers and toes are no longer webbed and now your hair follicies, tooth buds, and nail buds are forming!   Need to take mommy to Barnes and Noble to get some good pregnancy books that are up to date!!  I am going to look for a Grandparents Class…I think with all the changes in the last 22 years since giving birth to your Auntie Katie lots has changed and I need to get on board with all the new ways of doing things!!

Mommy should be feeling you a little bit more this month!  You are moving fluidly and gracefully in there!  Momma is still a little quizzy but she will be feeling better soon!

10 weeks have come and gone…….

Standard

Lilibet, you are a size of a prune this week…You are about 1.2 inches long and about .14 oz.  Wow, your body length will about double in the next three weeks!!!!  209 more days!!!

You now have working arm joints, and your cartilage and bones are forming.  Your vital organs are fully developed and they’re starting to function!  Your finger nails and hair are starting to appear, too!  And can you believe, you are starting to swallow and kick in there!  Can mommy feel it yet???

Mom is feeling a little bit better.  Dad said she needed some fresh air so they went for a car ride up to Canyon Lake for the weekend to visit Miss Krista,  Mr. Andrew and Tatum.  Seems all went well, but the drive home was a little much. Living in such close quarters as in their condo unit makes for some nuances that disturbs mommies sleep…. Mommy is noticing a network of tiny veins crisscrossing her already achy breasts!  Her chest looks like a road map….all is well though

Mommy and I took off for a loooonnnggg weekend in LaQuinta.  We had just a Great Time!  Great time for rest, and eats and shopping!  Had lots of fun finding the cutest nursing jammies and maternity clothes.  Mommy looks so pretty!.  She is lucky that the style is so that she will just really stylish, just a little bigger!  But, that’s o.k., for there is a BABY in there!

I have started sewing up some adorable burping cloths and mommy and I had fun going to the fabric store to have mommy pick some flannel she liked best.  Thought we were going to score with a 40% discount only to find out at the check out counter that the coupon wasn’t good until the next day!  The clerk was sweet enough to give me 20%!  Thanks….it does help.  So I will be busy sewing up lots of burp clothes!!!

Started practicing my crochet skills…I don’t understand the instruction sheets!  Thank goodness for YouTube!  I can watch as they do it and work along with them.  I biggest challenge is making a flower……I’ll get it down sooner or later…..it would be funny if you are a little boy, cause you WILL BE wearing these cute little crochet flowers….just kidding of course!!

Ha, just took an Chinese gender chart which they say is 90% accurate in predicting your gender…..says you are a boy!!!!  It will be interesting to find out just how 90% they are!!!

Here we are at 9 weeks…

Standard

…oh, my I am sooo late with my 9 week posting.  Grammie CeCe has had a very busy week away from the house most of the day last week.  So, here we are on Monday, January 22, and we need to get this post done!  You’ll be 10 weeks on Wednesday so we best get going……

Grammie purchased some cloth diapers and fabric to make some burping cloths and i can’t wait to break in my new sewing machine!! I am working on getting organized for the quit.  Just when I think I found THE one I just pin into another one I just adore….It will be interesting to see which one you end up with!!

I am a size of a grape this week!

Lilibit is about a size of a grape this week.  The average length (crown to rump) is 0.90 inches, and the average weight is 0.07 ounce….as of today, January 23, 2012, you will make your debut in 214 more days!! Grammie CeCe and Auntie Kate can’t wait to meet you!

Momma is still feeling pretty sickie….uck!  But, she was well enough to help Grammie CeCe celebrate her birthday on Coronado Island…had a pleasant day.

Happy Birthday!

Enjoyed lunch at Café 1135 on Orange Avenue, a stroll around the block and pass Hotel Del Caronado…..and posed for a few photo ops along the way and in a cute park.  Had to take photo’s of Downtown….goof ball Auntie Katie took some Aweful….ummmm I meant Awesome shots of me and mommy!  Love you Kaitlyn….honest we do…… insert googy awesome photos of the day!  Finished up Grammie CeCe’s birthday week at Chin’s in LaMesa, ummm ummm…they were so sweet as to sing me ♪♫♪ ♪♫♪ Happy Birthday .. ♪♫♪  and severed me a complimentary deep fried banana’s that your daddy and Auntie Katie just ate and said they were aweful….I was smiling so hard I began to tear up, it was sooo funny…..Auntie Katie was upset that she didn’t get a fortune in her fortune cookie.  She was so upset that she complained about it to the waitress and requested a new cookie.  The sweet waitress reassured her that no fortune is good fortune “nothing is going to change” in her Asian accent..too cute for words!

Wow, you are nine weeks old today.  A week closer to the time mommy is feeling  better and can get around and start  having some fun!  Just in time for Spring as we will be going to the farmers market and picking up some delicious fruits and vegetables… Can’t wait!!  You are no longer an embryo—you are now a fetus!  This means that you are becoming more baby like and mommy is more closer to leaving the nasties of the first trimester!  Just one more month to go!!  You are now developing more distinct facial features.

All of us at Cafe 1134

Come, come, come follow me....

Here I am...Taking a rest bet....Strike a pose .....

Please don't pick the flowers......lol

The girls...

I have been doing some shopping for things that you will absolutely need and the more you have the best.

Auntie Kate loves to take pictures of herself…..

I am going to post some of the cute things we have come across during of searches on Pinterest or StumbleUpon and whatever site we might come across that mom and dad got really exicted about and will be thinking about it a little closer for some desires for you and your surrounding when they finally bring  you home in August 2012.

Mamma felt a little flutter…………………….

What’s going on @ 8 weeks…..

Standard

Lilibit is about a size of a kidney bean this week.  The average length (crown to rump) is 0.63 inches, and the average weight is 0.04 ounce…. 226 more days!!

Your webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your hands and feet, your eyelids practically cover your eyes, breathing tubes extend from your throat to the branches of your developing lungs, and your “tail” is just about gone. In your brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neutral pathways….a miracle if you ask Grammie CeCe…  you are constantly moving and shifting around, however, momma can’t feel you yet, I can’t wait for her to feel your first flutter! You have not developed enough at this stage to tell if you will be a granddaughter or a grandson, which ever you are you will just a bundle of joy for all!

Kaitlyn and I picked up lunch at Greek Chicken and we had a lunch fest at mom and dad’s.  Umm, it was good and momma was feeling really good.  We couldn’t wait to show momma all the pins that Kaitlyn pinned on Pinterest…..something that is starting to take control in our household, it is so addictive yet we get so much pleasure searching and pinning things to make you the happiest baby ever!  We are just so excited!

Boy names are now in order….Beau Anthony Andreas….I like the sound of it…maybe a Quarterback? Pitcher?   Who knows, but this I do know Beau or Lola will be the most loved and cared for child this side of the Mississippi.
